HFN represents private health sector practitioners at healthcare policy review meeting

In line with efforts to create a conducive environment for the Private Health Sector, the HFN represented the Private Health Sector at the recently concluded 2 –day Policy review meeting organized by the Federal Ministry of Health, PPP, Diaspora Unit.

At this meeting, Proposed Policies on Public and Private Partnerships and Investment Incentives for the Healthcare industry were discussed.

The HFN was ably represented at this meeting by the HFN President, Mrs Clare Omatseye and the Publicity and Assistant Publicity Secretaries, Dr. Pamela Ajayi and Mr. Remi Adeseun.

The meeting had in attendance various stakeholders across the health value chain such as representatives from the FMOH, the International Finance Corporation (IFC , World Bank Group ) Chief Medical Directors of Federal Health Institutions, Private Health care Institutions and Healthcare Consultants to mention a few.

A joint advocacy group called the Public Private Sector Stakeholders Group on Health Policy (PPSSGHP)   was formed at the meeting and it was decided that a joint Advocacy drive to institute the Policies discussed was essential to success.
