Kwara, Indian Hospital to Partner in Provision of Health Care Services -

Kwara GovThe Kwara State Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Suleiman Alege, on Monday said that the state would partner Continental Hospital, India, to provide health care services to residents of Kwara at a subsidised rate.
 
Alege said this while receiving some delegates from both the Indian hospital KIBS hospital, its partner in Nigeria that paid him a courtesy visit.
 
The commissioner said that the state government would welcome the partnership to enhance improved health-care delivery to its citizens.
 
He also disclosed that health care professionals across the state would receive training for best practices from the partnership arrangement. The commissioner told the delegates that the health-care delivery in the state had improved tremendously under the leadership of Gov. AbdulFatah Ahmed. The government is fully committed to giving full support to the health care delivery services in the state. The state recently renovated five general hospitals while the State Diagnostic Centre was completed and fully equipped with the state of the art equipment,’’ he said.
 
Alege added that the state had earmarked N8.5billion for efficient health care delivery in the 2016 Budget which would be use judiciously. Earlier, Mr Avinash Nal, a Senior Consultant, Continental Hospital, India, appreciated the state government for the warm reception accorded his team. He commended the government for the completion and renovation of five general hospitals in the state. Nal urged the government to focus on improving the health-care system in the state. Also, Mr Teslim Balogun, the Managing Director, KIBS, said they would collaborate with the state government by subsidising the cost of health care services and training of professionals.
