Dema recommended some ways through which people can live in good health, such as regular exercises, eating right, taking good care of oneself, as well as consulting certified medical experts whenever there are medical challenges.
The UPU America President disclosed that apart from the medical outreach, the body had earlier organized Urhobo language competitions to promote the speaking of Urhobo language amongst Urhobo children.
She said UPUA had also sunk boreholes in parts of Urhobo land to provide portable drinking water for the people, amongst other community projects.
The Head of the UPU America free medicare outreach, Dr. David Ogbon told newsmen that the beneficiaries received treatments for high blood pressure, diabetes, hypertension, malaria and other diseases.
Another medical expert, who also spoke on healthy living, Dr. John Ogbonna urged the public to always go for medical check-ups in recognised hospitals rather than patronizing quacks.
For their parts, some beneficiaries of the UPU America free medicare outreach thanked its President, Dr. Onome Dema, and her team for coming back home to render free medicals to patients.
They appealed to other well-to-do Urhobo groups and individuals to emulate UPU America in doing things that will better the lot of Urhobo people, as well as move the Urhobo nation forward.
No doubt, the executive of UPU America headed by Mrs. Onome Dema is poised at ensuring that Urhobo people enjoy the betterment of life.
