Abia Gov's wife promises sickle cell sufferers free routine drugs
Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, wife of Abia Governor, on Wednesday said the aspiration of her foundation, Vicar Hope Foundation (VHF), was to provide free routine drugs to suffers of sickle cell anaemia.
Ikpeazu spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sidelines of a counselling session organised by the foundation for sickle cell patients in Umuahia.

The National Publicity Secretary, Health and Managed Care Association of Nigeria, Mr. Lekan Ewenla, has said that the suspended National Health Insurance Scheme boss, Prof. Usman Yusuf, ran activities at the agency as if it was his private business.
Ewenla, who spoke to our correspondent in Lagos on Tuesday, also faulted the appointment of Yusuf as the Executive Secretary.
