Njoku, however, stated that, about sixty percent of Nigerians still do not believe in the existence of COVID-19, saying, Nigeria has a lot of work to do in convincing the public on the safety of the vaccine when approved for roll out.
While speaking on the topic “Health Journalism and ethical considerations”, the UNICEF Representative advised journalists under the ANHEJ to always engage in in-depth research on issues to deliver a balanced and impactful report that will bring positive change in the Society.
He, however, commend ANHEJ for organizing the conference with it’s Theme: “COVID-19 Reportage Assessment”.
He also urged members of the Association to explore more on Community based reporting to influence development in rural areas.
