According to him, the Infectious Disease Hospital II isolation is almost getting filled up and the bed occupancy is at 87 per cent, while the Paelon Isolation centre is filled up.
He tweeted “Bed occupancy at #COVID19 Lagos Care centres is about 6I%.
“IDH Il isolation almost getting filled up – 87%. Paelon Isolation – Hundred points symbol % filled up.
“Indo Isolation has been reactivated to create more bed spaces for severe to critical cases of #COVID19.”
Other care centres open for COVID-19 patients are IDH I, Yaba; Lagos University Teaching Hospital; Armour; Vedic; Lagos State University Teaching Hospital; and the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Metta.
However, COVID-19 care centres that are still shut by the state government are Landmark, Gbagada, Agidingbi, Onikan, First Cardiology Consultants Hospital and Lagoon Hospital Centre.
The commissioner noted that out of 448 total bed capacity, there are only 181 available beds as of Wednesday.
Abayomi added that 774 new COVID-19 infections were confirmed in the state on January 10, increasing the state’s total COVID-19 infections to 36,849.
He said that the total number of COVID-19 tests conducted in the state so far was 244,653, while the total number of cases discharged from COVID-19 Lagos Care centres are 3,124.
“Total number of #COVID19 recovery in communities – 25,489. Cases currently under isolation – 191. Active Cases under Home-based care – 7,788,” he said.
