It would be recall that the assembly in November 2015 held a public hearing on the bill. The Speaker of the House, Mr Najeem Salaam, had said the bill would create an enabling environment for the state to develop its primary health care sector and enhance the health status of its citizenry. Salaam, who said that now that the assembly had joined other states to pass the bill, Osun would enjoy the benefit accruable to others.
He urged the government to ensure that the benefits that the state would enjoy from the establishment of the board would impact on the ordinary people of the state. (NAN)
