The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Josephat Akabuike, has said that the bill on the State Health Insurance Scheme in the House of Assembly when passed into law will guarantee affordable and quality health care for the citizens.Represented by his Administrative Assistant, Dr. Obiageli Uchebo, the commissioner disclosed that Governor Willie Obiano has equipped government hospitals in the state with state-of-the-art health facilities to solve the health needs of the people of the state. He commended the National Health Insurance Scheme for the sensitization programme. Akabuike assured of the state government’s collaboration to achieve the needed universal health coverage.
