The Acting Director-General of the Agency, Mrs Yetunde Oni also met some resistance from gaining entrance till about 11am, after she called up the police. An anonymous staff explained that the Acting DG. had been indifferent to the plight of workers. “It was a perfect plot to embarrass her (Oni) following her insensitivity to our welfare,” he said. “She thought she was smarter. She promptly called the police who came and rescued her. They opened the gate we had locked up and cordoned off our office. But, she should know that is not the solution. She should expect worse action from us if she fails to change and listen to our cry,” the staff furthered”, he added.
Attempt to get reaction of the agency through its Director of Special Duties, and Public Relations, Dr Jimoh Abubakar, proved abortive, as he did not pick several calls to his telephone numbers by our correspondent.
