Among services at the outreach are medical consultation and treatment of common ailments including Hypertension screening, Diabetes, Eye screening, Dental care, Family Planning services, Ante-natal care services and HIV/AIDS counseling. Ajomale said the mission was to offer free medical services to the residents of Epe and the idea was to improve the health of Lagos residents.
“We are here not only to assess the health of the people that are coming for our programme, but we are also encouraging them by giving them health education that they might need or concerning their health condition generally.
“We are also trying to create awareness on the health centres that are available in the Local Council Development Authority (LCDA) and Local Government so that people can take advantage of them. That will reduce the number of people that are going to the general hospitals. We have more people visiting our health centres utilising the services that are available presently.
