One hundred Sokoto students, offered scholarship by the state government to study Medicine and other medical-related courses in India, were yesterday warned against drug abuseKajiji who was represented by Sarkin Kabin Kebbe Abubakar Kassim stressed the need for them to shun negative tendencies and be good ambassadors of the state and nation.
He said the state government expended huge resources to sponsor their studies in order to address manpower shortage in its health sector.
A member of the scholarship board, Shehu Dalhatu, said the beneficiaries were selected on merit.
