NEW EKSUTH LOGOThe new Chief Medical Director of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, Prof Kayode Olabanji, has said that his priority is to rebrand the medical facility and to reposition it through quality service delivery.

Olabanji, a professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery, said, “One of the ways to rebrand the hospital is to improve the attitude and disposition of all health care givers towards their work and clients by developing a stronger sense of belonging and attachment to the institution.

Stressing that government alone would not be able to meet all the needs of the hospital, the CMD called on all well-to-do Ekiti indigenes resident at home and in the Diaspora “to contribute their quota to the development of the health institution”.

He said, “I want to assure the people of Ekiti State that EKSUTH is up to the task of providing quality health services. The hospital can also boast of competent and qualified medical personnel. But we still seek contributions from the public for further development”.

Olabanji said that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear on the administration of the health institution.

While giving members of the hospital staff the assurance that he would prioritize their welfare in a bid to motivate them to perform optimally, the new CMD urged the workers to reciprocate the gesture with a “sense of belonging as stakeholders in the Hospital.

“I will lay a good example as I will join the workforce to discharge clinical duties despite my busy schedules, the CMD said, adding, “The slogan, ‘your hospital, my hospital’ is one of the ways to canvass and promote the rebranding of the hospital and changing the negative attitudes of the service providers”
