Speaking further at the colorful opening ceremony attended by pharmacists from all over the world, the FIP helmsman said that by 2022, the Pharmacy profession should be able to prove that pharmacists are important players in making a difference in countries, adding that working together will enable pharmacists to have huge opportunities.
He stated further that decreasing the gaps in Pharmaceutical Science, practice and education between different regions of the world is among the aims of a new FIP strategy.
The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished pharmacists from Nigeria among whom were Pharm. (Mazi) Sam Ohuabunwa, president, PSN; Pharm. Ahmed Yakasai, immediate past president, PSN; Pharm. N.A.E. Mohammed registrar, Pharmacists Council of Nigeria; Pharm. Samuel Adekola, national chairman, ACPN; Pharm. Ignatius Anukwu, national chairman, NAIP and Dr Lolu Ojo, former national chairman, NAIP.
