Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello, has promised to partner with the Abuja Residents Doctors (ARD) as well as other professionals in the health sub-sector to improve the service delivery in the Health sector.Malam Bello appreciated the patriotic zeal and sacrifices being made by the medical doctors across the country particularly those working in the Federal Capital Territory and urged them to continue in that stride. The Minister specifically thanked the professionals working in the FCT Hospitals for the wonderful job they have been doing, considering the population explosion, which has led to overstretching of facilities. Responding, the president of the association, Dr Isaac Akerele, said: “As professionals we are aware as of common knowledge the place of health and health care delivery in the life of a people. It is only a healthy mind and body that can deliver the basic necessities for life and the development of the country. Ours remains incontrovertible the sector that drives all other sectors of the economy.
