He listed the institutions involved include: God's Victory hospital and maternity, at Ogigi Street, off Isiokpe Street Ugwuagba Obosi; Cheznik Medical Diagnostic Laboratories and Research Centre, Awada; Denco Clinic and Laboratory; as well as Angels of God Hospital both located at Mgbemena Street also at Awada.
Akabuike condemned what he called the unhealthy and poor sanitary condition of the hospitals, lamenting a situation where people endanger their lives, trying to access health care services. The commissioner, who assured that the law would take its course on such illegal health establishments, however restated the governments' readiness and determination towards flushing out illegal health operators dotting across the state.
Akabuike who led a team that monitored the facilities, expressed concern that most of the health institutions lacked working equipment, qualified personnel, and unhealthy environment among others. Director of Medical Services, Ministry of Health, Dr. Azubuike Nweje, explained that the exercise to fish out such illegal facilities is a continuous process.
