LASUTH Signs MoU with Indian Hospital

lagos state university teaching hospitalThe Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Yashoda Hospitals, India.
 
LASUTH’s Director of Clinical Services and Training, Dr. Ayoade Adedokun, said the partnership which includes training opportunities and exchange programmes, would improve the skill sets of doctors, nurses and other cadres of health workers at the hospital.
 
According to Adedokun, under the partnership, specialists from both hospitals will perform advanced knee surgeries and other orthopaedic procedures. The Yashoda Head of Administration, Laxmikanth Aireddy, said the hospital would lend the expertise of its doctors to LASUTH.
 
Aireddy, who said that the organisation had a similar collaboration with hospitals in the East African region, noted that the MoU would reduce the number of Nigerians travelling abroad for surgeries.
