Governor Muhammadu Yahaya of Gombe State has described the condition of the state’s health sector as deplorable. He promised to do all within his powers to uplift the sector.He said, “This administration will do its best in addressing the situation but this committee has the responsibility to review the operational framework on human resources for the health sector vis-a-vis the disposition of health workers across the tiers of the health system of the state.”
The committee, the governor added, also had the mandate to appraise abandoned projects in the specialist hospital and see to its immediate completion using the best available option to the government.
