Rev. (Dr) Joseph Titilola Olawale was born to the Olawale family of Ilora, Oyo State, on January 28, 1956. He had his Primary Education in Imini Baptist Day School and Modern School Education in Ilora Baptist Modern School. He finished his Secondary Education in Ilora Baptist Grammar School in 1978. He had his Nursing Education in 1981 at University Teaching Hospital, S.D.A., Ile-Ife and became a Family Planning Nurse Practitioner in 1986 at College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. He bagged a certificate course in Gynaecology in 2000 at the Centre for Family Studies, Nairobi, Kenya and got a certificate course in Mini Laparatomy in College of Medicine, UCH, Ibadan in 2002.

He obtained a Bachelor Degree in Theology (Bth) in 2005. He got a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work Health Option in 2009 and bagged an M.Sc in 2011 from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso. He received his Doctorate Fellowship award in Health Administration in University of Lagos by the Institute of Internal Auditors of Nigeria in 2000.

Olawale Titilola has been a proven leader of men as he was Class Monitor from Primary Two to Primary Five. He became Senior Prefect in Primary Six and left Secondary School as Chapel Prefect. He was the Class Rep in PTS Nursing. He was a Student Union leader as he served as the General Secretary of the Student Union in 1979 to 1980. He was also the National Treasurer of the National Student Nurses and Midwives in 1980 and became the President of Student Nurses and Midwives Association, Ile-Ife, 1980 to 1981.

He was the NANNM General Secretary, Baptist Medical Centre, Ogbomoso from 1983 to 1985. J.T. was the Oyo State Chairman of Association of General Private Nursing Practitioners (AGPNP), 2000 to 2011. He was the National Deputy President of AGPNP 2008 to 2011. He is a member of Nursing and Midwifery Committee, Oyo State till date. Dr Joseph Titilola Olawale is currently the National President of AGPNP. He is the Financial Secretary/Treasurer of Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) and a Senior Fellow, Institute of Internal Auditors of Nigeria (SFIIAN). He is presently in pursuit of an MPH from LAUTECH.

Dr Olawale is a recipient of meritorious awards including the Best All Round at Ife Teaching Hospital (1981), Pauline Award at College of Theology, Oyo (2002), Best Representative of The Institution – College of Theology, Oyo (2002), Doctorate Fellowship Health Administration Institute of Internal Auditors of Nigeria (2001), and the Meritorious Award by AGPNP, Lagos Chapter (2015).
